The School of Sex Therapy is more than a training institution. It is a global research institute dedicated exclusively to the advancement of psychosexual therapy through education, scholarship, clinical innovation, and international collaboration. As the field continues to evolve, the School is committed not only to training clinicians, but also to contributing to the academic and scientific development of psychosexual therapy worldwide.

Through faculty publications, research initiatives, an expanding academic library, and international partnerships such as Erasmus+, the School continues to foster a growing global community of scholars, clinicians, and researchers devoted to advancing evidence-based psychosexual therapy and sexual health.

Research Initiatives

The School of Sex Therapy is committed to advancing the field of psychosexual therapy through ongoing research, scholarly collaboration, and evidence-based clinical inquiry. Research within the School is conducted by faculty members, affiliated scholars, and doctoral researchers, with a strong emphasis on clinically relevant, interdisciplinary, and internationally informed scholarship. As the School continues to expand its doctoral and research infrastructure, PhD candidates are actively encouraged to contribute original research that advances both the academic and clinical dimensions of psychosexual therapy.

To support ethical and academically rigorous research practices, the School is in the process of further developing its institutional research framework, including formal oversight procedures through an Institutional Review Board (IRB). This ensures that research involving human participants is conducted according to recognized ethical standards and international research guidelines.

Institutional Review Board (IRB)

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the School of Sex Therapy is dedicated to promoting ethical, responsible, and academically rigorous research practices within the field of psychosexual therapy. The IRB exists to help ensure that research involving human participants is conducted in accordance with recognized ethical standards, with particular attention given to participant welfare, informed consent, confidentiality, and professional integrity.

As the School continues to expand its research and doctoral programs, the IRB serves as an important part of supporting faculty researchers, affiliated scholars, and PhD students in the development and review of ethical research projects. Through this process, the School remains committed to fostering high-quality scholarship and evidence-based research that contributes meaningfully to the advancement of psychosexual therapy and sexual health.
