ACCREDITATION

Accreditation

At the School of Sex Therapy, we believe that professional training in psychosexual therapy must meet rigorous academic and clinical standards. In a field where educational pathways have historically varied widely in quality, accreditation plays a crucial role in ensuring that programs are evaluated against clear benchmarks for curriculum, faculty expertise, and educational outcomes.

For many years, a common misconception has circulated within the field: that because sex therapy is not itself a standalone licensable degree in many countries, formal accreditation is unnecessary. We believe the opposite is true. Precisely because the field spans multiple professions—psychology, counseling, medicine, and social work—accreditation becomes even more important. It provides an essential marker of quality, transparency, and accountability in professional training.

For this reason, the School of Sex Therapy is committed to offering programs that meet recognized academic and professional standards in sexual health, counseling, and psychotherapy. Our curriculum integrates international research, clinical best practices, and diverse global perspectives on sexuality and relational health.

Through accredited programs and high academic standards, the School of Sex Therapy prepares clinicians to practice ethically, competently, and confidently in one of the most complex and essential areas of human health.
