Certificate Program in Sex Therapy and Religion This comprehensive 16-week certificate program is specifically designed for clinicians seeking to enhance their proficiency in addressing sexual issues with religious patients. The program consists of eight (8) 3-hour workshops led by esteemed Jewish, Christian, and Muslim educators and clinicians, offering a deep dive into the intersection of sex therapy and religion. Workshop Schedule: 1. Foundations of Sex Therapy with Religious Patients (3 hours) / 26. August. 2024 2. Judaism & Sex (3 hours) – 9. September. 2024 3. Sex Therapy with Jewish Patients (3 hours) / 23. September. 2024 4. Christianity & Sex (3 hours) / 7. October. 2024 5. Sex Therapy with Christian Patients (3 hours) / 21. October. 2024 6. Islam & Sex (3 hours) / 4. November. 2024 7. Sex Therapy with Muslim Patients (3 hours) / 18. November. 2024 8. Integrating Sex & Religion in Clinical Practice (3 hours) / 2. December. 2024 Begins at 10am CT / 11am EST Program Requirements: In addition to participating in the workshops, learners must complete the following during the program: • Three (3) essays • Responses to three (3) vignettes • Two (2) reflection papers • A journal maintained throughout the program • Watch two (2) videos • Reading Dr. Jacobson's book, Sex Therapy with Religious Patients. Certification: Upon successful completion of the program, participants will earn a Certificate in Sex Therapy and Religion, along with 50 CE hours approved by IAPST* and APA**. * The School of Sex Therapy is an approved continued education provider for the International Association of Psychosexual Therapists and is responsible for this program and its content. **The School of Sex Therapy is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.
